MTS
MTS stands for Metropolitan Transit System for San Diego. You can sign up for MTS through us. The price monthly for MTS through us is $82.00. The monthly passes work as so (EX: January 1st to the 31st.) Five days before the 31st is when you need to make your next payment. Now we are going to explain how to ride the bus.

You will receive an MTS Compass Card from your tutor about one to two weeks after you order your card. Before you pay your first monthly bill you have to pay $12.00 to order and activate the card. When you get your card, it will be activated and will have enough credits through the end of the month to ride wherever you want. All you have to do is take your compass card and just tap it when you get on the bus or trolley. When you enter the bus, there is a podium with a compass on it. Take your card and tap it, make sure it makes a beeping noise. When it beeps that means you can ride the bus. When you are going to be riding the trolley it is the same thing, however the podium is not on the trolley itself, but it is on the station where the trolley stops off, pick ups and drops off passengers. On your way to the station the podium will be on the entrance way towards the trolley. Just like on the bus there will be a little compass sign on the podium. On that compass all you have to do is place the card there and wait for it to beep.

NCTD
Same thing but this time they are blue, not red. However, your compass card will work just the same. Get on the bus or go to the station and tap it on the podium and it will allow you to ride the bus or to take their sprinter "trolley."
